It was a bang-up weekend and my thanks to everyone who bought something. We just got in a bunch of smaller items (3 cut-glass candle holders, 7 cast iron toys, etc.) and the gift-giving season is almost upon us. We got the tree up and a few holiday decorations strewn about. If you're looking for a unique gift, consider a recycled one. We also have a good selection of art right now.
If you're looking for an unusual side dish for Thanksgiving, here's a recommendation. Steam brussel sprouts and red radishes together. Season with some salt, pepper and a little lemon juice and lemon zest to brighten the flavors. Serve hot. The green and red colors together are lovely.
Mark your calendars for Sunday, November 30, from noon to 5. Gingerbread competition at the Urban Onion, wagon rides for the kids, Santa photos from noon-2:30, free cocoa & hot cider at 1st Christian Church 1-2:30, Masterworks Choral Ensemble same hours, Bagpipers at 3:45 and the tree lighting ceremony at 4:45pm.

Whew! Another month gone and we're going into the tunnel of winter, rain & short days. All the consignment checks have been written and we're ready to do it again. I should have a couple more sofas arriving this week and a girl's bedroom set. By the way, while you're on the website, visit the furniture care page. You'll see the article that will appear in next Saturday's Olympian Home & Garden section. Thanks all!
